What is the AD2000?
The AD2000 is an integrated wireless RTU (Remote Telemetry Unit) solution combining the following features into
a single, compact and stylish package:
- On-board digital and analog input/output channels
- In-built wireless data radio with diagnostics
- In-built PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)
- In-built data-logger (4Mb EEPROM)
- In-built SMS alarm and control features. The AD2000 can send and receive SMS messages, allowing you to monitor and control AD2000 automated systems using your GSM cell phone, without having to be at the actual site, (GSM modem option required)
- In-built RS232 ports with a range of industrial protocols supported
- Ethernet option (via in-built PCMCIA - PC Card slot)
- Easy to use programming software package
The AD2000 will allow you to transmit information from your industrial
system (tank levels, pressure readings, flows, alarms, status points) from one location to another without the
use of cabling. It is reliable, secure and fast. You can output the information to display meters, PLCs, HMIs or
your DCS system. The AD2000s can be networked into large systems if required and a variety of communication options
covering many frequencies are available.
What are its advantages?
Start small and build BIG
You can start with a simple point to point system (see Fig.1) and as your needs grow you can build complex systems
with up to 2048 AD2000s in a point to multi-point system (see Fig.2), resulting in a fully configured SCADA system.
Not just wireless I/O
With other wireless I/O products you often have to physically wire the I/O channels to another PLC device to do
simple control. With the AD2000 the logic capability is already there.
Easy System Programming
The OvalMap2000+ software provides a Windows (95 to XP) environment for the creation of both the PLC Ladder Diagram
control program, data-log configuration and the system data mapping. No complex databases to understand, simple
forms, time-saving Wizards, powerful cut and paste utilities. Design complex SCADA systems in a matter of hours
not days. This saves you considerable the time, effort and cost and gets your system up and running in no time
at all.
The All-In-One Package - one source of support
The complete AD2000 package includes the AD2000, OvalMap2000+ configuration software, program download cable, mounting
hardware, and manual. No need to buy a modem, a PLC and try to get them to talk to each other. The integrated AD2000
